Grandmother's delight

Here are the three best kids in the world, tree-climbing in Grandma's front yard. They also rode horses, fed the dog, helped a few old ladies bring in the mail and take out the garbage, attended every scheduled church service, two Vacation Bible Schools, sang specials in front of the whole church, checked doors on vacant apartments to make sure they were locked, distributed flyers and notices to our Residents, suffered through several boring days at G'ma's office when she had to work, did their best in school, maintained excellent behaviour in the classroom and at home with their infrequent babysitter, ate all their supper and said their prayers every night for 90 days without fail. Our oldest was saved into the Body of Christ in September of 2005 but baptised at our church in Fort Worth on October 3, 2006 because that's what he wanted. They made Grandma especially proud when folks would ask them where they were from by saying, "Well, we live in Hawaii, now, but we grew up here in Texas." They are only 8 years old, and, God bless them!! they think they have "grown up" already.

Summer with Grandkids

Wow! What a Summer. The grandkids came to visit and stayed 3 months. I miss them a bunch and would definitely sacrifice my peace and quite for their sweet hugs in the morning and prayers & kisses at bedtime. They keep my feeling younger than my age with all the bike riding, horsing around, evening walks, swimming, etc. I'll be going to Hawaii in January to visit them. I feel a winter tan coming on. I'm still trying to figure out this blogging but I rarely have any time to do that, so I'll just drop in occasionally.
